It was an immediate success. The indoor cross-country raised the roof at the Friends Arena, and of course it’ll be taking place in 2016 as well.
The world stars received standing ovations and loud cheering from an enthusiastic audience. From now on, indoor cross-country will be a permanent part of the Thursday evening performance.
“Seeing the world’s best eventing nations battling it out in this action packed way is incredibly good fun. The outstanding quality of the horse and rider combinations, along with the course and the audience atmosphere, are what make this competition so fantastic,” says Jan Jönsson, SIHS competition manager.
And there’ll be even more action during Action Night on the Thursday. This year the enormously popular indoor cross-country will be accompanied by Celebrity Jumping.
Six celebs will be working their socks off to win the title of best rider at the Friends Arena. Follow their road to the big arena on SVT Barnkanalen this autumn.
Sand Party included in ticket price
There’ll be a few new things going on during this year’s Sand Party, which is included in the ticket price. Food trucks will be rolling in, and both celebrities and riders have promised to turn up and sign autographs. But not least, the audience will have the opportunity to actually touch the enormous jumps.
And sure Sir Mark Todd would tell you this about the indoor eventing at the Friends Arena:
It’s fast, furious and a lot of fun!
